Paul Chevandier Valdrôme, Purchased from the artist, 1872. Valdrôme was an artist, 1817-1877. Mme. Moreau (the artist's mother) recorded a payment of 3,000 francs, but the work actually sold for 4,000. (See 1999 Lacambre exhibition catalogue, p. 55.)
