This installation, which complements Overlapping Realms: Arts of the Islamic World and India, 900–1900, presents a variety of modern and contemporary approaches to the medium of photography as it is practiced in South Asia and by artists of South Asian descent. The installation features documentary and conceptual imagery, from street photography with a handheld camera to digital montages, and includes examples by Raghubir Singh, Nasreen Mohamedi, and Dayanita Singh.
