Academic and Public Programs

K–12 Educators

The Harvard Art Museums welcome school groups and families of all ages to experience the museums’ comprehensive collections. The museums offer a variety of educational resources and workshops that promote strategies for object-based teaching and learning. The Division of Academic and Public Programs has worked closely with graduate students in art history, music, and education to develop an innovative digital tour that allows educators to design and lead a class visit in the galleries.

The museums also support teachers at the city’s high school, Cambridge Rindge & Latin School (CRLS), located just one block away. Students in the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Field Experience Program work with CRLS teachers and museums staff to facilitate high school classes in the Collections Galleries.
