The Harvard Art Museums engage the broader Harvard community in many ways. Through their artist talks, scholarly lectures, symposia, and gallery programs, the Art Museums contribute to research that relates to intellectual and creative currents on campus.
K–12
The Harvard Art Museums provide a valuable resource for K–12 students and teachers. Through close observation of works of art, students are invited to think critically and to learn about the world and about themselves. Professional development courses for teachers emphasize object-based teaching and activities that support the Common Core Curriculum.
Community
Among the Harvard Art Museums’ vital audiences are local and international visitors to Harvard University’s campus. The museums have a rich history of serving this diverse group.
