Day Trip: Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Sarah Kianovsky, Curator of the Collection, Division of Modern and Contemporary Art, Harvard Art Museums. Jennifer Quick, PhD candidate, Department of History of Art and Architecture, Harvard University

Join us as we explore the dynamic campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition to a walking tour of the institute’s acclaimed public art collection, we will visit the List Visual Arts Center and tour the exhibition Man in the Holocene. This group installation looks at the ways contemporary artists often use principles more commonly found in science and mathematics to inform their own processes. You won’t want to miss this chance to get to know MIT better.

$90 (members $65). Group will meet in the lobby of the MIT List Visual Arts Center, 20 Ames Street, Building E15, Atrium Level. Fee includes exclusive tours, admission, lunch, and all gratuities.

Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Email am_membership [at] harvard [dot] edu or call 617-495-4544 to register. Members will receive invitations in the mail.
