Return of Fall Midday Organ Recitals

10/04/2012

This video of concert organist Martin Ellis playing two iconic movie theme songs on the pipe organ at the Sanfilippo Museum in Barrington, Illinois, is getting us in the mood for the return of our fall midday organ recital series at Adolphus Busch Hall. While the Sanfilippo’s organ is one of the largest in the world, our Flentrop is pretty impressive in its own right.

Every Thursday this fall, from 12:15pm to 12:45pm, spend your lunch break surrounded by the sound of organ pipes in our grand medieval hall. We can’t promise any scores by John Williams, but you never know.

The series begins today with a performance by Christian Lane, Associate University Organist & Choirmaster at The Memorial Church at Harvard. See a full schedule of recitals on our calendar.
