This folio comes from a huge book made to be opened at random to a written page that cited an omen and predicted the outcome of the reader's intended action, and a facing page that illustrated the omen. The text side of the folio, in large-scale nasta'liq, cites the Garden of Eden, and announces that "the rose of your desires has bloomed in the garden of good fortune." It once faced an illustration of happy souls in Paradise. The illustrated side of this folio pictures Ali and the Prophet Muhammad interceding at the Last Judgment; this scene once faced a less auspicious text augury.
